When Oxymoron drop earlier this year it was shocking to see the third installment of “Druggys with Hoes” was not apart of the track list. Then again Kendrick did the same with “The Heart Pt. 3” with G.K.M.C. in 2012. It was rumored that Schoolboy and Soulo couldn’t put the song on Oxymoron due to problems with getting the sample cleared. While in L.A. on his “Oxymoron World Tour” tour Q brought out fellow TDE member Ab-soul and performed “Druggys with Hoes 3” to the dismay of many. The track was everything you would have expected it to be but it came it a cost. Q said and I quote “I don’t think we ever gon’ drop it,”.Welp, at least we got to hear it at least once. I’m going to drop the link at the bottom of the post.
Last but not least, SZA dropped her much anticipated album “Z” this week. She is the 3rd member from TDE to release a project this year. The album had several key features such as label mates Kendrick Lamar and Isaiah Rashad. It also featured Chicago’s Chance the Rapper. The album possessed a mellow overtone that just soothes your soul. Z showed how SZA has matured since her last project S. All in all Top Dawg found a gem in SZA which could prove to be a better addition to the TDE family than Jhene Aiko would have been.
