Now that the NBA All Star weekend is over lets get into some ReBel news. Every Monday we want to give you some news about some of our favorite artist or new up and coming artist. Our first coverage is on a man that needs no introduction who is one half the the group Outkast, Andre 3000. This year he’s planning to release a solo project. In a recent interview with MTV he stated:
“There’s been a lot of talk on the Internet about an Outkast album and I have to say that as of now, there are no plans for another Outkast album,” Andre said.
“I think I’m planning to do a solo project. I don’t know when it will come out, but hopefully it’ll come out this year. As far as Outkast, I really don’t know if or when that will happen.”
Andre 3000 has influenced music along with his partner, Big Boi, for the last two decades. With hits such as Rosa Parks and Bombs Over Baghdad. He hasn’t put out a solo album since 2003, The Love Below, but I think its time for him to bless us with a full LP. There is no date on when he plans to release the solo album but when its done it will be something that has the music industry buzzing.
